"It Started with a Set of Nails"
Our founder discovered the art of press-on nail design at just fourteen years old. What began as a creative hobby quickly became a lasting passion. Over the years, she refined her techniques, experimented with new ideas, and shared her work with people at handmade markets across Vancouver Island. Those market conversations shaped what came next. People were not only searching for beautiful nails; they wanted something that reflected their style and fit their hands. They wanted something made for them.
That belief became the foundation of Island Makers Club - a locally owned creative studio and shop in downtown Victoria, built around craftsmanship, self-expression, and community.
Personal, Not One-Size-Fits-All
Every hand is different. Nail beds vary in width, length, and shape, yet many mass-produced sets are built around a single standard. We take a more personal approach. With multiple sizes, shape options, and custom measurements, we help customers find press-on nails that feel considered from the first look to the final fit. Whether your nails are petite, wide, short, or simply unique to you, our goal is to create an option that feels right.

Island Makers Club is also a place to experience the joy of making. In our in-person workshops, guests can learn techniques, try new materials, and create a finished piece with guidance along the way. We provide the tools, materials, and a supportive setting. You bring your curiosity. Whether you are celebrating with friends, learning a new skill, or looking for something different to do in Victoria, every workshop is designed to feel relaxed, welcoming, and inspiring.
A Home for Local-Made Creativity
Our shelves extend beyond our own work. We collaborate with independent makers across Vancouver Island and showcase a rotating collection of crochet creations, handmade candles, jewellery, and other artisan goods. Every piece is made by a real person who cares deeply about their craft. By creating space for their work, we hope to make local creativity easier to discover and help small businesses build meaningful connections with the people around them.
